A Day in Savannah - St Patricks Celebration

We bought a Groupon with the Schreibers for Paula Deen's Lady & Sons. We went to Savannah yesterday to eat there and most of us didn't realize that it was St Patrick's Day weekend. Savannah has the 2nd largest St Patrick's Day parade in the country. It was a fun day to go just because there were stages everywhere with live music playing, tons of people in the street too. I loved seeing all the fountains around full of green water. I bought a super cute shirt and a hat so I could fit in with all the people. It was a great day! I'm happy to have such great friends and am sad that they are now in a different ward than us since our ward split 2 weeks ago.

 

 

6th Wedding Anniversary: Trip Continued

On Saturday - really our anniversary - we went to Sea World. We were supposed to meet Denise again but she and her friends who flew in on Friday didn't show up. Saturday was a gorgeous day - perfect weather and Sea World was empty. All the rides took about 5-10 minutes! We went on Manta Ray 2x, Atlantis, Kraken, Turtle Trek, looked at the different aquariums and of course spent at least 30 minutes at the Stingray pool - my favorite. Our ticket admission also included admission to BBQ, Bands, and Brew which had Hank Williams Jr performing. We didn't stay the whole time but he is extremely talented and good at putting a show on.

We went back to Kissimmee and picked my sister up so we could go and eat papusas together. Omar can't resist having some each time we are there. It was Kelly's first time eating papusas. We then went to Mo Merrill's 60th birthday party - it was so good to see some people who have been such an important part of my life growing up. It was a great anniversary weekend.

A Day in St Augustine

I had some Groupons that were coming close to expiring so it was time to take a trip to our own city of St Augustine.

Ripleys Believe It or Not Museum was hosting a free show outside where there were sword swallowers showing off their abilities. It was pretty cool.

We first went to Colonial Quarter which takes you through the 1500-1800's of what happened in St Augustine. Our tour guide was Grimm who was incredible! He was hilarious and made the history come alive. They are building a boat there, have a watch tower, forge, and a lot more stuff. You can walk by the Colonial Quarter and not even know it was there.

We had a groupon for $20 worth of chocolate at Whetstone Chocolate factory. Where we were able to buy a bunch of yummy fudge and this frozen hot chocolate drink that was to die for.

We then went to The Collage restaurant that some friends recommended. We didn't have a groupon for this - wish we had. But it was delicious.

Our final stop for the day was the Ripley's Ghost Train tour. I think we are totally done with Ghost tours. This one was the most boring of all of them. The guides were not entertaining. It was so bad that we wanted to leave early but we had the EMF readers and the laser pointer that came with the tour to use. I would not recommend this Ghost tour.

Spilsbury Trip: Las Vegas, Nevada

We left Arizona for Vegas. This was Omar's first trip. The main reason that we took the trip to Vegas is so that Omar could spend time with his parents. unfortunately, we weren't able to spend as much time as we had hoped with them because they ended up leaving early.

We had a few other goals in mind as well. We both really wanted to see the Cirque de Soleil "O" which is the one that takes place in the water. It ended up having black out days so we were not able to see it. We did a few other shows though. We saw the Jabbawockeez, Tournament of Kings, and the Variety Show. We decided that we will just have to return to Vegas because there were many things we didn't get a chance to do.

We found this photographer last minute to take some family pictures as this would probably be our last time together for quite a while since Aaron is getting ready for a mission. We went to this beautiful state park outside of Vegas. Afterward there was this small little market that had some cool fruits, some delicious Argentinean food, and some other odd things.

 



Spilsbury Trip: Arizona

We have never as a married couple visited Omar's brother - Eddie and his wife Megan and our nephews: Jayden, Tage, and Chanson. On our flight over Omar got really sick and spent most of the first 2 days sick in bed. We arrived on New Year's Eve. We did some really fun activities together...eating delicious food, shopping for make-up, playing games with my nephews, and much more. I had a great time with them and wished they lived closer to us.

I had a blast racing SO fast on this track. I won every round by going the fastest. It was so much fun!

THE DUTTONS SHOW

The Duttons have been on America's Got Talent and have their own theater there in Arizona and also have a theater in Branson. They are incredible violinists. We had a really nice time going to the show.
