Itchetucknee Springs Youth Trip

Most of our weekends these days are spent with the youth somehow or another. Yesterday we went to Itchetucknee Springs which is about an hour and a half away from Jacksonville, above Gainseville. We floated down the river which takes about an hour and a half, had a picnic, and then went to the two swimming holes at the State Park where the head of the spring is. The water of course was freezing and the sun was not out too much which was nice, but a little cold.

A group of us outside renting our tubes and rafts
After the float everyone brought picnic lunches

up at Head Spring (it was a little bit of a walk)
I am in there somewhere diving down as far as I could into the blue hole.

It looks like fun! Maybe you'll have to plan a trip to good ole' Zion Ponderosa!
